One years time...
A photo taken of Moroni just last year.
The
other morning while rushing around getting ready for school, I encountered “the look” from my son. This look appears when they reach about the age of 14 and seems to linger until they leave home for the first time on their own and discover that they had it pretty sweet here, that you are really smart after all, and that they do love you. Driving in the car a short time later, I recalled a comment just one year previously uttered by this same young man, in all innocence and honesty to be sure… “I’ll never be a teenager like the girls mom, don’t worry.” I can’t remember the particular incident leading up to these words, but I am certain it
involved his older sister.
“Do you remember that Moroni?” I think I asked as we drove along… and his reply?
“What can I say mom? I lied.”
How about that? Sound like a 14 year old to you?! And then he gave me the look again…
