I've been reorganizing again. Has to be done every now and then, especially when I need to stimulate the gray matter, and because I love they way it feels with even a few changes as I sit down to create.
I've some wonderful art on my walls to inspire.
The above print is an invitation by the very clever Mr Paul Bommer to "Sack & Sugar" his latest art show. I had the utter gall to ask him to send one from his home in North Norfolk, England, clear over here! Which he did! So cool! and now it hangs proudly on my work space wall. Such a clever fellow.
The photo below is my newly arranged work space. I say "newly arranged" as I took my bookshelf, which formerly stood upright and laid it on it's side, creating a much more organized space and more surface area for all my tools. Very inspiring.
My dear friend and incredibly talented fellow artist Beth Jepson and I have been inspiring one another to greater heights with our illustrations, and we are determined to really make a go of it this year!
There is just something about creating a space where you work and ponder, that has to be your own.
A place that gives you pleasure, and inspires within you good things, even great things!
Lastly, below is the view from my kitchen window.
I know it is nothing fancy, but I find great pleasure working there and catching the sweet scent from my lilacs, when the breeze carries it in every now and then.
And so it goes, until next time...
Oops, I added my comment on the wrong entry. It's after Gracie's last picture. By the way she is such a sweet little soul. Can't you just tell from her eyes, just like her Daddy.
